What happens when your trial ends, and how to get more time if you need it.
Your free trial covers what the 7-day, 3-article trial includes and how eligibility works. This article covers what happens at the end of it, and how extensions actually work, since neither is automatic.
Your trial converts automatically into whichever paid plan you selected when you started it. There's no separate "activate" step: if you don't cancel first, the card on file is charged for that plan the moment the trial period ends. If you do want to stop before then, cancel from the billing portal. See Canceling your subscription.
If you need longer than 7 days or more than 3 articles to decide, several places in the app (the plan screen while you're trialing, the setup gate, the Enterprise card) offer a short call with HarperFlow's founder instead of a self-serve button. This is a real, manual conversation, not an automatic top-up: whoever takes the call decides how much extra time or how many extra articles make sense for your situation, based on what you tell them.
If you were given a promotional code, from the team, a partner, or a specific offer, redeem it from the "Have a code?" box on your Plan page. Codes can grant bonus articles, extra trial days, or occasionally a free month, depending on what was issued. They aren't something you request yourself; they come from the team or a partner program.
Warning: Starting a trial requires payment details upfront, even though you aren't charged during the 7 days. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the plan you chose at signup. There's no separate reminder step that pauses this for you.
