Getting Started
What each of the seven setup steps does, from picking a plan to going live.
Every new site goes through the same setup wizard once. It's seven steps, and you can leave and come back: nothing publishes until you finish the last one.
You choose Solo or Agency (see Accounts, organizations, and sites) and see the shape of the deal: one connected site, a monthly article volume, and a schedule that spaces articles out automatically. If more than one platform is available to you, you'll also pick which one you're publishing to here.
Link the site itself. Today HarperFlow connects to Webflow — WordPress, Shopify, and Wix connections are coming soon.
HarperFlow reads your connected site and drafts a business profile for you to review, covering positioning, audience, voice, topics, and the article formats it should write. Nothing here is final. Edit any of it, or add and remove topics and formats, before continuing. If the read fails or your site has no content yet, you can fill the profile in yourself instead.
HarperFlow drafts a few promotional call-to-action blocks based on your profile, things like "explore [product]" or "talk to the team," that can appear inside articles. Edit the wording, or regenerate them.
Optionally add up to three bylines, people or companies, that HarperFlow attributes articles to. This is entirely optional. Turn it off and articles publish without an author section.
Choose where articles land in your CMS: a brand-new, ready-made collection or blog (recommended, since every HarperFlow field is guaranteed to exist), extending a collection you already have, or mapping onto one as-is. See Custom field mapping for what each option means field by field.
Pick a plan, either a free trial or a paid subscription, and HarperFlow finishes setup. It creates your project, drafts your topic clusters, wires up the collection you chose, and turns on scheduled autopilot. See Your free trial and the go-live checklist for what happens next.
Note: Your answers are saved to this browser as you go, not to your account. If you use "Finish later" and come back on the same device and browser, you'll pick up right where you left off, but switching devices or clearing your browser storage partway through means redoing the earlier steps.
